Colouring commission by :iconmestrtom: (fanfantasy association: [link]) , for the artbook of the story he wrote.
I just had a biiig crush when I saw this artwork. This character is a dragon guardian named Hanlon. He seem to have a terrible past. Anyway, coloring him was nery nice!

L'illu devrait sortir dans un artbook qui accompagnera 4 livres dans lequels se trouvent l'histoire de ce personnage.

Wouawww!!!! les textures, les couleurs! C'est vraiment beau! le perso est super interessant aussi!
(excuse moi de pas trouver des choses intéressantes à dire, j'ai plus de 60 déviations et autant de messages à ré;pondre! ;_; Mais tu sais que je suis fan de tout ce que tu fais! )

Ah, this is the one?
Looks good! The background is well drawn (like I forecasted =D) The mountains look natural and real and the colouring of the character seems to fit great. He really looks like an anthro-lizard =]

I'm glad you like it! Painting the mountain was fun! I must say, the thing that makes me have a nervous breakdown is cityscapes! XD

Urgh, painting mountains is fun? I missed something, I guess ^^; I don't like to paint mountains or rocks.. It so much... work ^^;
Same applies to cityscapes. I totally agree, here.

Oh, eeeeh... I was speaking about my tastes here! XD; Yeah painting mountains is not easy but I kind of like it... Like caves. (I had to paint a cave on my latest commission... Ok, I'm sure a professional painter would have his eyes bleeding but for a first try, I thing I limited the disaster. ^^')
But yeah, that's tons of work. >_>

Caves are difficult, too. Two years ago..or so, I tried to paint a cave but I totally failed x_X Hm..maybe, I should try it today |D Ah, and don't sell yourself short. I'm sure it looks good. You made so many steps forward to perfection. Believe me =]
